My name is Hayato M. Yamanouchi. In the Kamikouchi Laboratory at Nagoya University, I study the copulation behavior of the fruit fly, investigating the neural mechanisms that control it and developing systems that analyze and intervene in behavior in real time. Alongside research, I also do science communication: I go by “Yama-san” on my podcast and by “Kenkyujo Tsukuttaro!” on my blog. Whichever name you’ve come across, it’s the same person.
