Yama-san no Labo Keikaku
A podcast and YouTube show in which “Yama-san”, a biology PhD student, talks about what research actually looks like from the inside and what daily life as a doctoral student is really like. Research topics and experiments, the realities of academia such as writing papers, conferences and funding, and what it feels like to walk the PhD path — even the technical subjects are told in plain, down-to-earth language. Episodes are in Japanese.
The long-term dream is to build a large research institute in Japan one day. This show is a running record of the “lab plan” working toward that dream.
